All started with us thinking about our plans for Summer 2020 and how we liked our honeymoon on the Sheenjek in Summer 2019. So why not go back?

I told my parents and they said “Really? that’s cool” and Marie told them: “Just come with us”, they were just laughing. When Marie told them that she was serious they were still laughing, but some days later my dad called me asking what tent we had chosen…(that was when I knew that they were serious and we started to plan the trip for four people).

As you probably might have seen Summer 2020 was kind of crazy with wildfires in Alaska. We initially intended to paddle down the Beaver Creek in the White Mountains but changed our plans due to wildfires in the area and decided to try the Alatna River (which we had already thought about for our trip in 2019). Thanks a lot again to Peter who was as last time a big help in planning our trip and thanks to Peter and Kelly for a great stay and travel in Alaska.
