Day 3 – First day of real paddling

We are up quite early (5.30 am jetlag here you are). The wind is still blowing but at lot less – it should be manageable. The weather is cloudy and indeed the water is quite calm compared to yesterday. We leave around 9:30 am.

Shortly before lunch, we decide to stop on a small gravel bank on the right side of the river. I want to check out if it’s possible to hike a little bit up the mountain as the brush is not to thick at that place as far as we can see from down here.

The idea was to get a view of our surroundings and why not take some nice pictures.

On our way up, two packrafts pass by. French speaking people and we say hi (bonjour) but they do not even answer. well…

lunch break and fishing

Arrival at Camp 2 and weather is getting better. We have a perfectly blue sky and no wind any more.

Really a nice camp here with a great view.

some are working…(filtering water)

and others relaxing…

We have once again steakes and mashed potatos for dinner. It’s bed time around 10.30 pm.
