Day 7 – First real rain

In the morning the weather is still fine, but after having brushed our teeth, we can already see that there is some rain coming…

We have time enough to pack our stuff, but when we are leaving camp around noon the rain starts. It rains more or less heavy from then on.

When we stop at another confluence (as it looks like the rain stops a little bit) – a hot tea is very welcome. Some people are of course already fishing – no success however.

We do not stay long as the rain starts to get heavier again.

Making a fire, when we stop to set up our camp, is a challenge today and a team effort. We put some wood under the tarp in order for it to dry before dinner time.

And for all the efforts diner is the more satisfying 🙂 Caribou sausages and mashed potatoes.

When the rain finally stops around 10 pm we try to dry our clothes (especially the gloves are really soaked) – handmade clothes-pegs included.

Bed time not before 1 am.
