Day 16 – Nice camp for playing cards

Breakfast – some of us are more awake than others.

The water has really gone up since yesterady evening (left) and this morning (right).

Before our small gravel bank vanishes in the water we decide to leave.

Around noon we stop by a cabin on the banks of the river. Not really in a good condition but probably still used by the locals when they come up the river to hunt or fish.

Weather is getting better and the wind has nearly stopped today but the water is still brownish.

Lunch break and a little exploring (while some are fishing…)

We find a great camp this evening on an island with a wide sand/gravel bank.

Mum is making some bread again – a good fire is needed. We have rice with bacon, tomato sauce and sambal olek for dinner – amazing!

The evening passes while we are playing cards and watching the sun go down….
